Los Angeles expands public Wi-Fi network found at Muniwireless:
"Expect a growth spurt from Los Angeles’ free public wireless Internet service in 2007.
Yesterday, the Board of Commissioners of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (CRA/LA), the public agency charged with revitalizing the city’s
downtown, announced $225,000 in contract extensions and enhancements to
build out the network to four additional city districts. The
service currently provides access in Pershing Square. Plans call for
extending it to the financial district and historic core, Bunker Hill
